PROGRESS UPDATE


BEFORE


 

Since I acquired the use of a non power steering T-Bird
I had to find a P.S. pump with the right brackets and
another stock 57 T- Bird steering column. I did not want
to use the column in the T-Bird for a couple of reasons.
If I made a mistake I would not be doing it with the owners column,
and I would also have a column here at the shop to use as a
pattern for future stock T-Bird column modifications for customers.
 
 

For customers not able to find or not wanting to use the
original Eaton power steering pump, we  are now developing

a new bracket that  uses the original cast  iron bracket  combined
with a steel bracket to mount a Saginaw pump;

Pictured below is a prototype  bracket system to mount the
Saginaw pump so we could test the rack system. we will not
be using this setup  in the final design.

The pictures above are of the working prototype.
Some  improvements are being made and
steering system is being evaluated .
